”Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”

I am a licensed therapist specializing in treating children, adolescents, adults, couples and families and maintain a private practice in both New York City and Bergen County, NJ. I also see clients on zoom residing in California, New York and New Jersey.

With over 15 years experience as a Client-Centered Therapist, and as a Graduate of Saybrook University specializing in Humanistic Psychology, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are Eating Disorders, Addictions, Life Transitions, Life Skills, Body Image, DBT, CBT, Stress Reduction using Mindfulness and Meditation, Creative Expression, Impact of Divorce, Conflict Resolution using Non-Violent Communication (NVC), Immigration Issues and Cultural Assimilation, Career Counseling and Exploration and Deepening of Spirituality.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented workshops and trainings in a variety of areas including:  Health at Every Size, Financial Literacy, Journaling, Managing Test Anxiety, Co-dependency, Diversity, Healthy Communication, Attachment in Relationships, and Body Image at Treatment Centers and local Colleges.  I've been honored to be a part of a grant that focused on creating programs for college campuses that promotes awareness surrounding sexual violence against women, and reducing the occurrences of sexual violence against woman on college campuses. Additionally, I've taught a college level Personal Development course at Los Angeles Harbor College and am passionate in working with the college population.

Some other experiences in this field have included my work as a Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, Primary Therapist and Intake Coordinator in a variety of private eating disorder and substance abuse treatment centers along with my work with victims of crime in New Jersey and the Greater Los Angeles area. I have worked using a range of modalities that include creative expressive therapies to work with children and adolescents who have been victims of violence, sexual and physical abuse.

I am a trained Usui Reiki Practitioner Level 1 & 2 and have practiced yoga for almost 20 years, recently obtaining my RYT-200. My therapeutic approach is holistic centered to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. It is important to me to integrate mind, body, spirit and implement techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I am beyond thrilled to be back on the east coast and fulfilling my dream of coming back home to practice what I love.  I left the east coast  almost 10 years ago when I was called to San Francisco, CA to study Humanistic Psychology which was followed by a year long internship in Los Angeles putting the principles of Humanistic Psychology into practice under the supervision of Dr. Bonnie Burstein.  Traditional therapeutic approaches alone seemed to be missing something so when I awoken to humanistic and transpersonal psychological approaches, it became my dream to bring them back home and influence the more traditional practices I found here and I am grateful to have been able to be fortunate enough to do this.  I look forward to witnessing the miracles that are in store for each of us!
