I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, receiving my training from Sukha Art Center in Harrington Park NJ. I am also certified in aerial yoga as well as trauma sensitive yoga. I have found that for many, traditional psychotherapy can be a great start to a journey into ourselves, however, many desire more. There is an expression called the “12 inch journey”, which is an experience of moving your experience from your head to your heart and body. We store trauma in our bodies and I have found yoga be a powerful tool in releasing painful memories from our body. Different poses have been known to open up specific chakras and can assist in bringing to the light stored memories that can get locked in our physical experience and block us from being in a state of peace and contentment in our bodies. If you struggle with poor body image or being present in your body, yoga can serve as a gentle pathway to having a more integrated and holistic living experience. I guide regular trauma informed yoga classes and I also provide 1 to 1 60-90 minute yoga sessions for a more personalized experience. In these sessions, I will guide you in a body scan, then provide an assessment in collaboration with your input, and guide you in an individualized yoga plan personal to you and your body geared towards your healing. Lastly, I will guide you in a chakra opening meditation using crystals and essential oils that has been known to balance chakras and create more internal harmony.
